Stitch Fix #2 Review!

I got my second Stitch Fix box today!

For those of you that don’t know what Stitch Fix is, it is a service that sends you five items right to your home.  These items can include clothing (tops, pants, shorts, dresses, and skirts), shoes, jewelry, and handbags. When you sign up, you fill out a detailed personal style survey so that the stylist in charge of putting your “fix” together can choose items that would work best for you.  Some of the questions include certain colors/prints you prefer to avoid, how you prefer clothing items to fit, how much you prefer to spend on items, and they also have you rank various pictures of overall looks as “hate”, “dislike”, “like”, or “love”.

There is also a note section for your stylist.  You can leave them a note if you’re looking for a specific item or if you have a specific event coming up that you need styling for, etc.  Stitch Fix also gives you the option to link your Pinterest board to your account so that your stylist can see which pins inspire your style.  How cool is that?!

As far as pricing goes, you pay $20 to have your “fix” shipped to you.  However, should you choose to purchase any of the five items they send you, that $20 gets applied to your order.  If you choose to purchase all five items they send you, you earn 25% off your entire order.  So really the only downside I see is if you end up disliking all of the items, you’re out $20.  What finally made me sign up is the fact that you do not have to receive a “fix” automatically.  You can choose when you would like to receive one.

Stitch Fix also has a referral program. If you’re interested in signing up, I would love it if you used my referral link! https://www.stitchfix.com/referral/8316219

For my second fix, I asked my stylist for mostly tops.  I wanted tops that are great for the summer, and some that I could wear to work (business casual).  I received four tops, and a scarf.

The first top I received was the Iglesia Pleated Blouse by Papermoon ($48).  This top is in the color navy.  I really like the style of the top, and the way it fits, but I was hoping for something more summery! I think this top would be perfect for the fall though.  Plus it can be worn to work or on the weekends as well.

The next top I received was the Pansy Racerback Top by Skies Are Blue ($44).  I loved this color and style of the top (especially the back!), but the arm openings were just a little too big for me.  So unfortunately this one will be getting sent back.

I also received the Hassett V-Neck Top by Le Sample ($48).  Orange can definitely bring me out of my comfort zone, but that is one of the main reasons I decided to give Stitch Fix a try! It’s fun to try things that on that you wouldn’t normally pick up for yourself while shopping.  I think the print is unique and love that this top is light and flowy- perfect for hot weather.  What do you guys think? Is the pattern too bold??

The last top in my “fix” was the Holden Scoop Neck Blouse by Papermoon ($38).  It is similar to a top I purchased in my first “fix”.  I like that it is light and the stripes are really fun.  Love the mix of mint green, navy, and white.  This is another option that can be worn to work or worn on the weekends.

The last item I received was the Raelyn Abstract Ikat Infinity Scarf by Octavia ($28).  I LOVE the print of this scarf.  The colors are so pretty together, and and can be worn with so many different outfits.  I will definitely be keeping this one!

My total for all five items came to $206.  If I were to purchase all five items, I would get 25% off my order ($51.50) which would bring my total to $154.50.  Minus the $20 styling fee that I’ve already paid, my total would be $134.50 for everything.

Overall I think this is such a fun service.  Let me know what you think I should keep, and what I should send back.  If any of you have been receiving any great “fixes” lately, comment and let me know what you got!

Thank you for reading!

      1. I don’t think I could use it, I am way to fussy about how my clothes fit, and mostly I wear hoodies and yoga pants…
